DATA CONTROLLER
The data collected through the user’s interaction with the website
https://www.emotionnetwork.eu/(the “Website”), or directly by Emotion Network S.r.l., with registered office at via Morigi no. 3/A, 20123, Milan (MI), Tax Code, VAT number and registration number with the Companies’ Register of the Milan Chamber of Commerce no. 11180210962, REA no. MI2585200, acting as data controller (the “Controller”), are processed in compliance with the principles set out in the GDPR.
Users may contact the Controller at any time using the following methods:
- by sending a registered letter with return receipt to the Controller’s registered office (Via Morigi 3A, 20123 Milan (MI));
- by sending an email to the following address: info@emotionnetwork.eu
The Controller is not responsible for the regulatory compliance of any other websites that may be accessed through browsing the Website, with the exception of the website https://www.techemotion.com, owned by the Controller itself.
Services offered through the Website are reserved for adults; the Controller does not collect personal data relating to individuals under the age of 18.
TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
The personal data collected by the Controller include personal and identification data (first name, last name, address, tax code, email address, certified email (PEC), images) and payment data necessary for the performance of the purposes referred to in the following paragraph 3.
Browsing data relating to the user’s natural interaction with the Website will also be collected (by way of example, IP addresses, domain names, cookies).
PURPOSES OF THE PROCESSING
Users’ personal data will be processed by the Controller, pursuant to Article 6 of the GDPR, primarily on the basis of the consent expressly provided by the data subject (Article 6(1)(a)) and in compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)), for the following purposes:
- Registration for the Tech.Emotion Summit, an annual event organized by the Controller in Milan, by invitation only, for 600 participants from 30 countries;
- Purchase of the Tech.Emotion Club Membership offered by Emotion Network to develop relationships and international networking initiatives throughout the year;
- Publication of content and/or images on social media platforms and other platforms connected to the above activities;
- Registration, via the Eventify App, to the Emotion Network Community;
- Management of the corporate database for the proper storage and monitoring of personal data necessary for the organization of the above-mentioned events;
- Accounting management of registrations and purchase orders received.
The provision of personal data for the above purposes is optional but necessary, as failure to provide such data will make it impossible for the user to use the services described.
Subject to further and free consent, which may be withdrawn at any time, the Controller may also process the user’s personal data for the purpose of sending commercial communications, newsletters, invitations to events and initiatives promoted by the Controller.
The Controller carries out profiling activities for commercial proposals and service monitoring and does not adopt automated decision-making processes.
METHODS OF PROCESSING AND DATA RETENTION PERIODS
The Controller will process users’ personal data using manual and IT tools designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data.
Personal data are processed and stored within the territory of the European Union for a maximum period of 5 years, after which they will be deleted in the event that the user’s consent is not renewed, without prejudice to the need to retain such data for contractual purposes and/or to comply with legal obligations. Only in the latter case will the retention period be 10 years.
Where personal data are processed for ancillary purposes (e.g. sending commercial communications, newsletters, invitations to events and initiatives promoted by the Controller), such data will in any case be retained for no longer than 24 (twenty-four) months.
SCOPE OF COMMUNICATION AND DISCLOSURE OF DATA
Personal data may be communicated to employees and/or collaborators of the Controller, acting as authorized persons and/or data processors, or to third parties (by way of example, suppliers, external consultants, partners, sponsors), all of whom are duly trained and instructed by the Controller.
Users have the right to obtain a list of the above-mentioned subjects by submitting a request to the Controller.
Outside of the above cases, no data will be communicated or disclosed.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Users may exercise the rights provided for under Articles 15–22 of the EU Regulation by contacting the Controller using the following methods:
- by sending a registered letter with return receipt to the Controller’s registered office (Via Morigi 3A, 20123 Milan (MI));
- by sending an email to info@emotionnetwork.eu
Pursuant to applicable law, the Controller informs Users that they have the right to obtain information regarding:
(i) the origin of the personal data;
(ii) the purposes and methods of the processing;
(iii) the logic applied in the case of processing carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
(iv) the identification details of the controller and the processors;
(v) the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of them in their capacity as processors or authorized persons.
Users also have the right to obtain:

a) access to, updating, rectification and, where interested, integration of the data;
b) erasure, anonymization or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data that are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed;
c) certification that the operations referred to in points (a) and (b) have been notified, as regards their content, to those to whom the data have been communicated or disclosed, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared to the protected right.
In addition, Users have:

a) the right to withdraw consent at any time, where the processing is based on consent;
b) (where applicable) the right to data portability (the right to receive all personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format), the right to restriction of processing and the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”);
c) the right to object:
i) in whole or in part, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if relevant to the purpose of collection;
ii) in whole or in part, to the processing of personal data concerning them for the purpose of sending advertising material or direct sales or for carrying out market research or commercial communications;
iii) where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, at any time, to the processing of their personal data for such purposes, including profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing;
d) where they believe that the processing concerning them violates the Regulation, the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali), with registered office at Piazza Venezia no. 11, 00186 Rome (RM).
